  The simplest way for indicating liquid level is by direct observation. This can be done by installing direct reading gages in the vessel or tank. These direct reading gages can be placed at different points to indicate the liquid height.  They are available for a wide range of pressures and temperatures, with connections and options to meet all specifications.   La manera más simple para indicar el nivel de un líquido es a través de la observación directa. Esto puede ser hecho mediante la instalación de un Indicador de Nivel en un tanque, depósito, caldera, etc. Estos Instrumentos son fabricados para una amplia gama de presiones y temperaturas con conexiones y materiales que cumplen con todas las especificaciones y requerimientos de las normas .
  Types - Tipos
  Reflex Gages have a prism glass window that uses the basic optical principles of light reflection and refraction that create a sharp line of demarcation at the liquid level which reflect in the interior the incident light. A dark area represents the liquid in the glass gage contrasted by a light area above the liquid. This lets the level of even colorless liquids be seen without close inspections.

Transparent Gages are used to see the level of the liquid and its characteristics even in dark environments. This are recommended specially where the medium is corrosive to the glass (e.g. caustic alkalis, hydrofluoric acid) and must be protected by mica shields. Shields cannot be used with Reflex gages since this would interfere with liquid level indication.

  LENGTHS: Series 20, 30 and 40 are available in nine standards visible glass lengths. Multiple windows are used for longer lengths.  
  LIQUID CHAMBER: Standard construction includes a one-piece chamber machined from one bar of solid carbon steel. Also are available in a wide variety of materials to meet specific applications.  
  COVERS: Encloses glass to reduce stress and resist glass breakage  
  BOLTS & NUTS: Alloy steel for high temperature services.  
  GLASS: Tempered borosilicate glass is standard for high strength and resistance to thermal shock and erosion. The glass must be protected from mediums that are corrosive to it such as caustic and hydrofluoric acid. Transparent glass with mica shields must be used in these applications.  
  GASKETS: Precision die cut from the highest quality materials.
